Biotin, radioiodination

They have been used to label a wide variety of molecules, e.g., hormones (Massaglia et ai, 1973) or biotin (Foulon et ai, 1996). The presence of the active aromatic group enables the use of milder radioiodination conditions. Vinylic prosthetic groups have been developed to minimize structural perturbations on the target molecule. This is also the case of the beta-iodoethoxyl group (Hamant et ai, 1994) used to label a very small molecule hexanoic acid. [Pg.750]
