Bioresorbable polymers strategies

In order to make water soluble polymer and to enlarge the bioresorbable polymer family on the basis of the same strategy, carboxylic acid bearing polymers derived from malic acid, namely (poly(p-malic acid) or PMLA, were synthesized for the first time many years ago.

Among these strategies, we focus on the cell delivery approach and in particular on the use of bioresorbable polymers for TE. 

This chapter summarizes the anatomical specificities of skin and TM and the most important applications of bioresorbable polymers in these body settings. It provides a framework for understanding the basic concepts of these tissues that could lead to the development of future therapeutic strategies.
