Biomarkers histological indicators

Hino et al. 2008 Lee et al. 2008). John-Baptiste et al. (2012) evaluated the expression of miR-194 in a rat PAK4-GI model and demonstrated a strong correlation between increases in this biomarker and histological lesions in the GI tract. Nevertheless, it was also documented that low-dosed animal and some vehicle control animals had increased expression of miR-194, indicating that this biomarker might be more suitable for transient GI injury. [Pg.314]
