Biochemical characteristics of cytochrome c peroxidase

A di-heme cytochrome c had been identified previously to the purification of the P. denitrificans CCP [6, 7]. Cytochrome c peroxidase was isolated in large quantities from P. denitrificans strain LMD 52.44 under limiting oxygen conditions [8], CCP is a periplasmic enzyme with a molecular mass of 37.51 kDa, as determined by amino acid sequence analysis [9].
