Bimetallic Organogermyl Iron Compounds

The bimetallic organogermanes in this chapter may not have a direct germanium-iron o-bond, but some orbital overlap might occur. Structures for most compounds are not certain. The derivatives listed in Table 85 are prepared by methods from the following scheme. 

I Synthesis with organic derivatives of alkali metals  

II Metathetic substitution with sodium salt of iron tetra-carbonyl.
