The catalytic reduction of O2 by ferrocene (Fc) derivatives (one-electron reductants like cytochrome c) with a monomer cobalt porphyrin and cofacial dicobalt porphyrins was examined in the presence of perchloric acid (HCIO4) in PhCN (168).
