Molecular orbital analysis performed by them further reveals that some of the bimetallic clusters have got multiple aromaticities. Figure 15.2 depicts the HOMO, HOMO-1, and HOMO-2 for both trapezoidal and rhombic isomers of Al2Si2. In Figure 15.2, HOMO-1 and HOMO-2 are the ir-delocalized MOs for the trapezoidal and rhombic isomers, respectively, whereas the other two from each set are two independent o-delocalized MOs. [Pg.306]
