There are two alkaloids that are quaternary at N(2 ) 2 -N-methylbcrbaminc (66a) from Berberis oblonga and Berberis turcomanica (Berberidaceae), and N-2 -methylisotetrandrine from Berberis oblonga (Berberidaceae). Finally there are two N-oxide alkaloids berbamine-2 P-N-Oxide (274) from Berberis brandisiana (Berberidaceae) and N-oxy-2 -isotetrandrine (216) from Limaciopsis loangensis (Menispermaceae). [Pg.214]
