Basis of NMR Imaging

Conventional NMR spectroscopy is used to determine chemical structure, as is described in Chapter 4, but cannot locate the position of the stimulated nuclei. NMRI is a method where the stimulating signal is spatially encoded so that an image can be reconstructed showing the distribution of nuclei in the sample. [Pg.151]

Polymer Spectroscopy. Edited by Allan H. Fawcett 1996 John Wiley Sons Ltd [Pg.151]

Other than spatially encoding the signal, imaging works on the same principles as standard NMR. [Pg.152]
