Barocel pressure transducer

Nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms at 77 K were determined with a volumetric devise equipped with an integral Barocel pressure transducer [22]. Prior to the measurements, the samples (100 mg) were outgassed at 300°C under vacuum (up to 2.10 Torr) for 10 h. The specific surface areas were calculated by using the BET method and the micropore volumes according to both Dubinin and Singh methods. 

High Speed Pressure Transducer. The characteristics of the Datametrics Type 531 Barocel pressure transducer are shown in Table Jj[. It can be operated as a differential or absolute type up to 450 C without cooling. 

Intrusive measurement techniques such as a Pitot static tube and hot-wire anemometer [24-26], and nonintrusive techniques such as laser Doppler velocimeter and particle image velocimetry (PIV) have been used to study the flow field. Goh, Kusadomi, and Gollahalli [13-15] mapped the velocity field in the flame using a Pitot static tube with a pressure transducer (Barocel). Details of the techniques and selection guidelines are presented in books on experimental aspects of fluid mechanics.
