Indirect oxidation using 1 as mediator (I" ) of aliphatic ketoximes affords 2,2-dialkyl-2,5-dihydro-1//-imidazoles, probably through a nitrenium ion or an azirine as intermediate. The intermediate attacks the ketimine to the product [85].
