Auric Imidoamide

Compare this compd with Auric Imidoamide or Cold Amidoimide, described in Encycl under AMIDES, IMIDES AND DERIVATIVES on p A169-L of Vol 1. It seems that the compd there was erroneously named Fulminating Gold) Refs 1) Daniel (1902), 313—14 2) A. Lang-... [Pg.614]

When heated to 180U in vacuo, Cd amide loses NH, leaving Cd nitride, Cd,Na, a black amorphous powder which CXpl V id ently when brought in contact with w Ref Mellor 8(1928), 261 Fulminating Gold. See Auric Imidoamide... [Pg.169]

Auric imidoamide, Au ( NH)NH2 or HN Au.NH2, is an extremely explosive and sensitive powder. The compound does not explode when wet and so is stored under water. Storage at 100°C for several hours causes auric imidoamide to become so sensitive that handling without an explosion is virtually impossible. [Pg.248]
