Artefact reduction techniques

Not much literature is available on p-phase and we speculate that its formation in our experiments is an artefact of the deposition technique. Moreover, there is no reported evidence of the gas sensing behaviour of P-Ti02 in the published literature therefore, evaluation of sensing characteristics of textured rutile phase obtained after reduction for 8h at 700°C in 5% H2/Ar stream appears to be a more adequate protocol, so that the uncertainty arising due to the role of the former can be ruled out.
