Although a number of studies have been carried out on the Argus n electrode array, less has been done on individual electrode interactions and the contribution of variable density microtrack lines to the overall electrical environment. As part of the characterization of the Argus II electrode array structure, we designed and fabricated idealized analog electrode arrays based on the Argus II configurations. 

In order to further characterize the Argus II electrode array, we fabricated a 9-electrode array structure that mimics any subset of 9 (3 x 3) electrodes in the Argus II pattern (Fig. 5).
