Arabinosyl cobaltoxime

A more convenient route to KDO via cobaltoxime reported by Giese et al. is represented by the reaction of the silylated pyruvate 156 with the arabinosyl cobaltoxime 154, according to Scheme 33 [107], This resulted in the formation of the precursor 158 ready for conversion to the KDO salt 152.
