Approximation of the Effectiveness Factor for Bimolecular Reactions

Calculate the effectiveness factor for the data given in Example 9.14, using the approximation 7.36. [Pg.225]

If the relative deviation between % and / is of the order of 10 %, the relative error in fj b will be, from Equation 7.44  [Pg.226]

This is in agreement with Example 9.14 where it was found fj b = 0.330 and thus  [Pg.226]

Therefore, we may conclude that approximation 7.36 is in fact very accurate. [Pg.226]

One final remark the formulae given in this example for An, and An0 could also have been obtained from Equations 9.17 and 9.18 by putting / = 1 and / = 0, respectively. [Pg.226]
