Applications as Materials or Catalysts

The homoleptic Ln bis(trimethylsilyl)amides are among the most volatile Ln compounds, and have featured in the doping of Ge/Ln semiconductors, or in the formation of lanthanide nitrides.

Mononuclear amidometal dihalides (obtained from the appropriate LnX3) were the distorted pentagonal bipyramidal [CeBr2 N(SiMe3)2 (thf)3] having agostic CH,- -Ce 

The peroxo bridge was supported by a more definitive X-ray structure, I (0—0)
