Anterosuperior Impingement

As described in Chapter 6, anterosuperior impingement derives from chronic friction of the bursal aspect of the supraspinatus tendon against the undersurface of the acromion. The subacromial subdeltoid bursa reduces local attrition and improves gliding of this tendon during arm abduction. [Pg.900]
