Analysis of Single Airborne Particles by LIMS

The authors call their equipment LAMPAS 2 (Laser Mass Analyser for Particles in the Airborne State), the complete system being mounted on a movable rack on wheels with a height of 120 cm, a length of 170 cm and a depth of 80 cm. The total weight is about 250 kg. The operation is as follows  [Pg.60]

The spectra are characterised by high signals of lithium, sodium, magnesium, aluminium, calcium and iron and their oxides. A high signal from hydroxyl ions was observed, which indicates a high water content of the particle. [Pg.61]
