Analogs of DT Dendralenes

The dendralenes 21b,d exhibit two reversible redox waves and an additional quasi-reversible one. The first and second redox potentials of 2 Id are similar to those of 22d, while the first redox potential of 2d is very close to that of 3d. These results imply that the charges of oxidized species are distributed on the moiety of 22d rather than 2d upon oxidation in CV.
