The side effects of local and regional anaesthesia fall, broadly speaking, into 2 groups, the one comprising adverse reactions due to the technique involved and the other those due to the properties of the individual drugs employed there is, however, not a sharp division between the two. In addition, one must bear in mind the possibility of side effects due to adjuvant drugs.
