An Optimal Solution Strategy

For machine computation of algebraic equations describing design or simulation problems, the following heuristic objective function is selected  

Assign arbitrarily an acyclic output element to a single equation if the solution for the output element is single-valued. If not possible, go to step 2. 

Assign arbitrarily the minimum number of iterative variables to equations which contain those variables.
