An Ideal Spectrofluorometer

As described above, we wish to record excitation and emission spectra which represent the rd ve photon intensity per wavelength interval. To obtain such corrected emission spectra, the individual ctmqMHients mu have the following characteristics  

The li t source must yield a constant photon output at all wavelengdis. 

The monochromator must pass photons of all wavelengths with equal efQcien.  

The detector (i otomultiplier tube) must detect Colons of all wavd gdis with equal effidenc.
