Aminodehydroxylation

Aminodehydroxylation - Acylation of Amines by Acids (Peptide Synthesis)... [Pg.434]

It became evident that the mechanism for the simple hydroxydechlorination replacement reaction decribed in Scheme II.7 occurs in a way very different from the aminodebromination of 2-bromopyridine, but very similar to that of 2-bromopyrimidine (see Section II,C,l,c). It is, however, good to stress the point that, although the aminodehydroxylation occurs according to an Sn(ANRORC) mechanism, it does not involve a degenerate ring transformation. [Pg.15]

Aminodehydroxylation. Rossi and Bunnett have described a method for conversion of phenols into anilines. Two steps are involved. First the phenol is eonverted... [Pg.152]

AMINODEHYDROXYLATION Diethyl phosphorochloridate. 4-Chloro-2-phenyl-quinazoline. Potassium amide. [Pg.581]

Aminodehydroxylation, 152-153,398 2-Amino-3,6-di-r-butylphenol, 406 7-Aminofurazano[3,4-d] pyrimidines, 281 4-Amino-3-hydrazino-5-mercapto-l, 2,4-triazole, 19... [Pg.316]

The present method of aminodehydroxylation is in some respects complementary to the procedure of Scherrer and Beatty (see 4-Chloro-2-phenylquinazoIine, this volume). This latter method involves high temperatures and an alkaline hydrolysis step and hence is not suitable in the case of thermally labile or alkali-sensitive compounds. However, it is applicable to halo- and nitro-substituted phenols. Such substituents are destroyed in the procedure of Rossi and Bunnett. [Pg.414]
