J. H. Gladstone and J. D. Holmes 1 agitated dil. aq. ammonia with thiophosphoryl chloride, and obtained an acid liquor which contained ammonium chloride and amidothiophosphoric acid, SP(NH2)(OH2), and from which the cadmium or lead salts could be precipitated, but not the salts of the alkaline earths, or of iron, nickel, or cobalt.
