Alkyl phosphates excretion

Morgan DP, Hetzler HL, Slach EF, et al. 1977. Urinary excretion of paranitrophenol and alkyl phosphates following ingestion of methyl or ethyl parathion by human subjects. Arch Environ Contam Toxicol 6 159-173. [Pg.223]

Many OPPs undergo ready in vivo conversion from thions to oxons (P-S-P-0). The P S- P 0 conversion occurs environmentally in the presence of sunlight. Physiologically it is driven primarily by the liver microsomes. The end products of hydrolysis at the ester linkage are alkyl phosphates and phenols, readily excreted and of relatively low toxicity. [Pg.384]
