Alkoxy sulfonium fluoroborates

Oxidation of sulfides Sulfides are oxidized by the reagent to an adduct (1), which on reaction with an alcohol followed by addition of silver fluoroboratc forms an alkoxy-sulfonium fluoroborate (2) in 30-40% yield.
