Alkenylsilver complex

Similar to perfluoroalkylsilver compounds perfluorinated alkenylsilver complexes possess a remarkably high thermal stability. The compounds can be obtained by addition of silver fluoride to perfluoroalkynes (equation 15)38 or perfluoroallene (equation 16)39. Compound 15 has been used as precursor for the deposition of silver films by plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition40 or thermal MOCVD41. 

The synthesis of alkenylsilver tributylphosphine complexes [(Bu3P)AgR], where R = cis- and trans-1 -propenyI (CH3CH=CH) or cis- and bww-2-butenyl [CH3CH=C(CH3)j, have been accomplished by treatment of the tetrameric silver iodide tributylphosphine complex with the relevant propeny 1- and butenylhthium compounds37.
