Adulteration process regulations

The section where mutagens/carcinogens formed as a result of processing possibly could be regulated is in Section 402 of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act dealing with adulterated food. This section says that "...A food shall be deemed to be adulterated if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substances which may render it injurious to health. ..". [Pg.125]
