Additives for Vinyl

Heterotactic triads are formed more easily by a formation of isotactic diads at existing syndiotactic diads in the case of methacrylic monomers than vice-versa (column VI). The probability for the formation of heterotactic triads is however independent of the mode of addition for vinyl polymers. 

Subsequently, the use of CPE as an additive for vinyl wood fiber composites has been addressed by Dow Chemical and the effect of chlorine level studied. Higher extmsion output rates with improved melt strength and elongation with 25 percent chlorine content CPE, Tyrin 2500P, were reported, leading to reduced melt fracture and edge tearing.
