ABX blood antigen oligosaccharides

High diastereofacial selecdvities, but poor endo.exo preferences were observed in the use of chiral dienes (60)-(63) under thermal reaction conditions with activated aldehydes (Table 17). Despite the low stereoselectivity David used this methodology to synthesize the ABX blood antigen oligosaccharides.
